Christmas Poem by John Gowans
submitted by Evelyn Howden I don't know quite what I should say
As I kneel down upon the hay
That clothes thes floor but cuts my knees.
Would not one like to help me please?
I came to say hello to God,
Just followed where the wise ones trod.
They seemed to think they knew the way,
And I'd prepared some things to say.
But I've been taken by surprise.
In fact I can't believe my eyes. To think
that men make such a fuss
For Someone who looks so like us!
Two hands, two feet, two eyes, one nose....
But something special I suppose
Has somehow slipped inside the wrappings;
How else explain the angel trappings?
Is God Himself inside this Child?
Can God Almighty be so mild?
I do believe the Baby smiled?

A Funny Christmas Story
Terri asked her Sunday School class to draw pictures of their favourite Bible stories. She was puzzled by Kyle's picture, which showed four people on an airplane, so she asked him which story it was meant to represent. "The flight to Egypt," said Kyle. "And that must be Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus," Ms. Terri said. "But who's the fourth person?" "Oh, that's Pontius - the Pilot.

The christmas angel

Silence,
No such things as angel s Stubborn said to himself
No such things as angel
He not seen or feel an
Angel in his short life
Not believe anything like Angels or nothing like that Believe in television or thing that
Touch by the grand river
After all the Christmas angel
Is not real as the new is not real
To him,
Until one Christmas eve,
Feel something touch him
in his dream
Wrap him in warm wings
As tears
fall upon Christmas eve
Looking up to the bright
light that ever
Seen by him in his short life As the world
Headline rejoice with joy
Yes there is such things as angels
Yes there is such things as Chrismas angels
For we who think Christmas about presents
And expensive things,
It is not, as life is not about that
Angels are there to remain us
It is about
Being love in our times
Here, Not in silence
My words to you
Christmas

Christmas In foreign country Not kind of Christmas you think
Not home down Christmas Not family style Christmas Not home warm family
Christmas A Christmas in foreign land Will there be Christmas tree
Probably somewhere
Probably carols too
Probably church service
Christmas, in foreign Country Not kind of Christmas you think of
Not happy And it is wonderful life Christmas
Or Christmas vacation
Christmas Not a home down Christmas but iit is still Christmas for somebody in foreign land A friend or family
Or relative Boyfriend or girlfriend Young friend or special young friend
A soldier a business man
And any close friends
So this is my Merry Christmas to you
In theforeign land
Christmas is everywhere Because the spirit of Christmas Love do not know no foreign lands Only us
