Board of Managers

Easter Greetings from the Board of Managers. At this time we would like to thank the members, adherents and visitors of our congregation for your continued support of the everyday workings of our church. As in past years, we struggle to meet the everyday costs of running this church.

At our meetings over the past few months we have come up with a "Priority List" of work that the Board would like to see completed over the next few years or so.

At the moment the Board is focusing on getting the proper permits for the installation of the wheel chair accessible washroom.

Things are on hold at the moment, but, the plans are still in place for the work to be done. The timing has been delayed a bit. If you have any questions regarding the washroom please do not hesitate to talk to Ken McDonald, the Building Committee Chairperson.

The Board of Managers have implemented a few fun-d-raising events that have and will take place over the next couple of months.

February began the start of Saturday Morning Breakfasts. They ran every Saturday morning during the months of February and March. A special thank you is extended to John Edwards and his crew of kitchen helpers for their hard work and dedication to this fun-d-raising effort. We would also like to thank Linda Colley-Burton, part owner of Caledonia Costume for their generous donations of Elmo and Dora costumes for the special Saturday Morning visits on two occasions during February and March.

The Board of Managers will once again host the Annual Mother's Day Breakfast on Sun. May 14/06. More information will follow as to the time of the Breakfast at a later date.

The next event planned by the Board of Managers is the 160th Anniversary Chicken BBQ and Hoedown. Tickets are available by calling the church office at 905-765-4524 or you can purchase them beginning Sun., April 16/06 following the Worship Service.

Financial information will be available on a monthly basis and will be posted on the Bulletin Board in the Upper Hall on the Priority List Board for you to see.

Information regarding Pre-Authorized Debit is available in the pocket on the door of the Church Office. Feel free to pick one up and give the idea some thought. It might not work for everyone, but it works for some!!

Sunrise

Very early in the morning
At the rising of the sun,
They came and saw the stone was rolled away...
An angel in the sepulchre
Spoke to each and everyone,
"Behold the place where once your
Saviour lay."

They went out from the place of night
Into a garden filled with light
And found our Saviour there...
They found Him on a lonely road,
They found Him where each one abode,
For He was everywhere!

Very early here this morning
At the rising of the sun,
We come because the stone was rolled away...
Each, a bearer of glad tidings,
Witnessing to everyone.
