Following the Star
Good News of
            Great Joy!!

It started out like any other
night. A group of shepherds tended their sheep outside of Bethlehem. The stillness was punctuated by an occasional baa, and a few stars gleamed against the black sky.
But, suddenly something
happened that would make this night extraordinary, and it would change the shepherd's lives forever. As the shepherds guarded their flock, they were startled by the appearance of an angel of the Lord.
Immediately the night sky
exploded with the glory of the Lord and the shepherds were terrified.
First, the angel calmed them
with his assurance,
"Do Not be afraid."
Then he explained that he was the messenger of "Good news of great joy that will be for all people."
The long awaited saviour had been born
that night in Bethlehem, the angel urged the shepherds to visit the new-born Jesus.
At that point, a host of angels
joined the messenger angel. They praised God, ascribed glory to God, and announced peace to all the recipients of God's favour.
We have "Good news of great
joy", because the miraculous birth of God's only begotten Son was true. He was born to be our Saviour.
My prayer is that the Joy of
Jesus Christ is alive in your hearts and lives.

Heather, Brett, Elizabeth and I
Wish you
The Joy of God's love this Christmas
and a Blessed New Year.
