Holiday Stains
Oops! Let's face it; holiday gatherings and spills go hand in hand. Don't fight fate - be prepared, here are a few stain removal tips.....
Cranberry Sauce
& Other Berries
Flush the area with cool water. Use an eye-dropper to apply a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water; let sit for 10 minutes. Next, apply a combination solvent, such as Shout, and finish with a regular wash cycle.
Candle Wax
Let the wax harden, or freese it by placing it in the freezer for 20 minutes. Scrape off as much as possible. Stretch the fabric over a bowl, then from a height of about one foot, carefully pour boiling water over it to clean the residue.
Chocolate
Treat the spot with a solution made from a tablespoon of an enzyme detergent, such as Wisk, and two cups of water. Let stand for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Launder as usual.
Christmas may come at the coldest season of th eyear but it is the warmest, cheeriest of all our holidays. Perhaps it is the sparkle of glowing lights that warms our hearts. Or the bright berries and colorfully wrapped gifts beneath the tree. Or Santa. Or the cup of Christmas cheer that friends and family share.

It is all of these . . . and something more. It is the spirit of Christ--the celebration of His birth that rekindles the spirit of giving and loving in all of us.
